I shot Amy & Graeme's Wedding back in April this year & now they are expecting the arrival of their baby boy Benjamin! I like to keep maternity shoots simple & really focus on the bump - some of my favourite shots were using only one soft box which created a soft feel to the image as oppose to the more high key shots. I would definitely like to play around with more low key lighting & a black backdrop for future maternity shoots.
This shoot was a combination of portrait & pet photography! Tanya wanted a nice photo of her son Elijah & family dog Iggy. The challenging part was trying to get both of them to stay still, look at the camera & be next to each other!
We didn't give up trying to achieve our objective. In the end i loved combining a series of shots together which i think portrays the relationship Iggy & Elijah have - playful, fun and loving. We also got some cute individual portraits - both performed extremely well posing on their own!
I will be implementing my new business logo soon on all materials & online media! This logo was designed by my brother Paul Brzeski & represents my personality & Cathy B Photography perfectly <3
The Pet Photography special launched a week ago has been doing great with some very adorable results! Kristal was very excited to get a photo-shoot done of her gorgeous dogs Shelby & Rocco. Since diving into the pet photography world I have learnt alot about animal behaviour & how to catch them looking natural, happy & relaxed. Working with the owner & having a bag full of treats to catch the attention of the pet is a huge must!
Based on conversations with pet owners i have realized that many people think about getting a pet photo shoot but are worried their pet won't sit still or co-operate. That is totally normal! So far I havn't met a dog that sits down & poses straight away - that would be strange! Like toddlers, its about working around the pet's behaviour, making them feel comfortable & grabbing their attention & capturing that winning shot!
