I love capturing bumps, i never get sick of maternity shoots. For me they are about beauty, femininity, happiness, change, and new chapters.
I love how exciting this time is for my clients, and aim to capture that excitement & joy before their baby arrives. I always shoot maternity in the golden hour of the day for that beautiful light that captures the mood i'm going for; glowy, warm & golden. Sami looks beautiful here, in one of my favourite locations Burns Beach
Amandja's maternity shoot was just pure, simple & gorgeous at one of my favourite spots Burns Beach. Expecting a little girl soon - its hard to believe Amandja is 37 weeks in these photos, she looked absolutley stunning & i had some strong favourites from this shoot
Toni & James came into the studio with their daughter Marlia for a family maternity photoshoot. Marlia was so excited to have her photos taken & I can tell she cannot wait to meet her baby sister. I look forward to meeting the new bub for her newborn shoot!
I shot Amy & Graeme's Wedding back in April this year & now they are expecting the arrival of their baby boy Benjamin! I like to keep maternity shoots simple & really focus on the bump - some of my favourite shots were using only one soft box which created a soft feel to the image as oppose to the more high key shots. I would definitely like to play around with more low key lighting & a black backdrop for future maternity shoots.
